It's been a while since I updated my blog. There's no way around it, ever since I changed jobs, I don't have as much free time as before, and many things have become uncertain. Of course, this is by no means an excuse for laziness. I've been meaning to come here and ramble for a while, but every time I open the Ghost backend, I stop myself. There's no reason for it - just one word, "lazy".
Recently, things haven't been going smoothly. The only thing worth celebrating is that I finally sold those 8 old hens (Wanke Cloud) at a low price (I bought them for 499 each from Dog East before the Chinese New Year. I originally planned to return them if I didn't need them, but I forgot after the New Year. The main thing is that the price of these old hens kept dropping, and it pained me to see them sitting there). Actually, right after the New Year, someone wanted to buy them for 480 each, but I didn't think about selling them at a loss, so I kept them. At the end of May, when the price of Chainlink rose to around 2 yuan, I quickly sold them for 455 each, including shipping, to a friend (I sold the old hens and missed out on Chainlink again). Although I lost nearly 60 yuan per unit, if I had waited for an event on Dog East this month, I probably wouldn't have known when to sell them. So, it's better to have sold them. Overall, I didn't lose much on the old hens (I sold some at a high price in the early stages).
The second thing that didn't go well was also in late May. I was just browsing on the WeiPhone forum when I came across a 6SP 64G (with the 9.3.2 system) in the second-hand market. The condition wasn't great, supposedly the screen and battery had been replaced, but the price was good. In the end, it sold for 1521 yuan and I used the Turn Turn verification service (it came with a one-month warranty). To put it simply, I just prefer the system. The 6SP I have has the 11 system, and it's both downgraded and laggy. I really want to give Tim Cook a slap or two for messing up the system. When the verified phone arrived, I tried it out and the iOS 9.3.2 system was indeed much better than the 11 system on my phone. Even the little circle signal icon looked better than the one on the 11 system (I really don't like the signal icon on the 11 system). I thought I would just replace the 11 system on my phone with this one, but a couple of days later, something went wrong (WiFi and Bluetooth stopped working). Because these two functions were working when I verified the phone, I could use the warranty service. I quickly sent it to the designated repair center (sent it on Sunday, returned on Friday). I even received a call from the repair technician saying that the WiFi chip was broken and because the WiFi chip on the 6SP is encrypted and requires writing to the hard drive, the system needs to be upgraded. I was really annoyed by this... Surprisingly, when I received it on Friday, the system was still intact, and of course, the WiFi and Bluetooth were working again. I thought the matter would end like this, but on Monday, something went wrong again - the screen went black. No matter if I turned it on or off, force restarted it, connected it to a computer, or removed the battery, it just stayed "black-faced" - no response. Helpless, I had to send it back to the repair center again. Just tonight, I received another call from the repair technician, and the general idea was that they didn't rule out a software issue and wanted to upgrade the system (what the...). If it's not a software issue, they will proceed with hardware repair (damn it). Of course, based on my personal experience, hardware issues are definitely unavoidable, so... (just comforting myself...). I'll add the repair results later.
June 7, 2018 update: Last night, I received a text message from SF Express a little after 7 o'clock. It was from the phone repair service, so it seems that it has been repaired and returned once again. When I got home from work today, I quickly retrieved it from the delivery locker and turned it on. The system was still intact (no upgrade!). I did a quick test of all the functions, and everything is currently working fine. I just don't know if it will have the same issues as a few days ago... (spit, spit, spit, no more jinxing it, I hope there won't be any more problems).
Of course, there have been more things happening recently, it's just that I haven't updated my blog in a long time. I have to bring something out to ramble about, otherwise, what's the point of this blog's existence?
